EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP TEAM
Kyle Workman, CEO/President
Since assuming his role as CEO and President of Workman Commercial, Kyle has brought energetic leadership to Workman.  He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and member of the Corps of Cadets with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Science. Kyle brings forward-thinking philosophies to Workman Commercial, including the philosophy that principles have direct involvement in day-to-day operations of all projects in order to ensure client satisfaction and timeliness of project completion. He also brings experience and expert knowledge of Primavera Expedition project management software and SureTrak scheduling software to Workman. Kyle brings a dynamic vision to our rapidly-growing company.
Paula Workman White, Chief Financial Officer
A Magna Cum Laude honors graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Paula manages all financial operations including financial statement preparation, cash flow management and investment management.  She has worked in the construction industry as a field assistant, an electrician’s helper and architect’s assistant.  She was selected to the GTE Academic All-American Team and earned the honor of Texas Tech University Female Student Athlete of the Year in 2000.  She is currently President of the Central Texas Chapter of the Construction Financial Managers Association and continually seeks educational opportunities in her field. Paula is very active in her church and various community outreach programs, generously giving of her time and energy to others in need.
Paul D. Workman, Secretary & Founder
A veteran of over thirty years in commercial construction, Paul’s extensive experience includes office projects, schools, churches, retail centers and malls, medical centers and hospitals, and wastewater treatment facilities.  His career has been marked by active participation in community and civic organizations, including terms as President of both the Rotary Club and the Austin Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.  He is currently the National President of the Associated General Contractors of America board, and is currently serving on the Board of Directors of the Austin Real Estate Council. Paul also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Texas A&M University.  Paul’s leadership has brought Workman Commercial to an annual business volume of over $60 million since its founding (as Workman Corporation) in 1991.
Gene H. Holmes, AICP, Regional Director of Business Development
Gene’s experience spans over thirty years in positions for both public and private construction projects.  His private sector experience includes both commercial and residential construction for firms in Texas and Oklahoma. He holds a Masters Degree from the Oklahoma State University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners.  This extensive construction background has enabled Gene to participate in all aspects of commercial construction from the ground up. In his current position as Regional Director of Business Development, he is responsible for Workman’s marketing programs, presentations to potential owners, RFP preparation, Qualifications Statements and developing working relationships with architects and owners. Gene oversees business development activities in the DF/W, Houston, and Austin markets, and other areas of Texas.
Tim Dakai, VP Operations & Houston Division VP
Tim is responsible for the Houston office, marketing, financial planning, project selection and bidding, supervision of project managers and superintendents, coordination of owners, architects, and subcontractors. Tim has assumed responsibility of VP of Operations for all of Workman's projects, working directly with Kyle Workman to ensure that the "Workman Vision" is achieved for all clients. Tim has progressive experience with Workman Commercial, from his beginnings as a Project Manager to Vice President of Operations. He brings extensive construction experience in all types of project delivery methods and systems.
Alicia Brunet, Vice President, Human Resources
Alicia’s career in Human Resources began more than 17 years ago, including more than 10 years in the construction industry.  She earned her master’s degree in Human Resources Administration from Utah State University and is currently an active member of SHRM and AHRMA.  Her main priorities are organizational planning and development and strategic recruiting.  Other responsibilities include compensation and benefits, employee relations, labor law compliance and all other HR-related duties.  Her dedication to employees was instrumental in Workman's recent recognition as one of Austin Business Journal's “Best Places to Work” awards. Alicia continually strives to create a great environment and corporate culture for all Workman employees.
